Long Running Beijing Hardcore Mainstay RETURN THE TRUTH Return With Sick New EP [China]

16 years in the making, Beijing hardcore band RETURN THE TRUTH have returned with what we think is their music yet! The new released is a 3 track beast entitled ‘One Last Breath’. Guitarist, Hardball, states, “This EP reflects are growing hopelessness in the current climate of Beijing hardcore. We’ve always remained in the underground and have never seen any sort of rise for the band. We’ve witnessed different moments of Beijing hardcore including its heyday and then its decline. Currently, it may be growing slowly.”

This despair in his voice and outlook on Beijing is only matched by the sonic shift in the band’s music. More known for its Madball-esque groove in earlier material, the newer material is markedly darker, heavier and more hard riffs. “Yes, people may say we’ve changed our sound. But it’s only because of the life we lead here”.

Fans of heavy ass bands like Sunami and even UK legends BDO should definitely give this a spin.
