Lebanese Punk Band GLIDDEEE Hone In Love For Fugazi/Unwound On New Track [Lebanon]

On the day of a ceasefire (FINALLY) in Palestine – ALHAMDULILAH – we get to feature a couple posts about the Lebanese punk and hardcore scene.

First up we have a brand new debut single by Lebanese punk band GLIDDEEE. The band states that they formed back in 2022 when there was a seeming resurgence of punk activity in Beirut. The band draws influence from Fugazi, Unwound, and Number Girl, and quickly started playing shows.

The band has finally released their debut single ‘SUPERTASTEUR’, a high-energy track based on the lead singer’s eating habits and reflective of their distinctive style. They recorded at the locally well-known TUNEFORK STUDIOS, and contain only a fraction of the band’s intense and raw sound. The band is currently working on new material which they hope to release this year.
