Korean Punk Band WINNINGSHOT Release Split With Japanese Act FOUR GET ME A NOTS

Emerging from Korea’s punk scene in 2018, WINNINGSHOT has built their sound on Skate Punk, Pop Punk, and Melodic Punk. Known for their upbeat melodies, dramatic arrangements, and the distinctive blend of male and female twin vocals, the band has steadily cultivated a dedicated following—small in scale but loyal both at home and abroad.

After officially debuting with their first EP WELLSPRING in 2019, WinningShot expanded their range with the 2022 full-length album Reminiscence. In 2024, they released the single DEFINITELY, further extending their reach.

On September 3, 2025, WinningShot teamed up with Japanese band FOUR GET ME A NOTS to release the split EP Blending Horizons. The record was pre-released through Tower Records Japan as well as RECORDSHOP ZOO in Nagoya—a hub for Japan’s indie scene and a cult favorite among music enthusiasts. Pre-orders at both outlets sold out quickly, reflecting strong anticipation. Ahead of the release, both bands also sat down for a joint interview organized by Tower Records, discussing the meaning behind the split and their cross-border connection. The feature was published in the September issue of Tower Records Japan’s official free magazine bounce. Notably, all of these milestones were achieved without the backing of a major label or agency support—driven purely by the band’s own efforts and grassroots network.

Most recently, WinningShot became the first Korean band officially invited to perform at TOKYO CALLING 2025, Japan’s largest live circuit festival. Sharing the bill with Japanese acts such as ガガガSP, LONGMAN, POT, SABOTEN, and PRAY FOR ME, they are set to showcase a new chapter for Korean punk on the Japanese stage.

Following this, in November 2025, WinningShot will also perform at WiRELESS CARNiVAL 2025, a large-scale rock festival held at Chiba Longwood Station. There, they’ll join a powerful lineup featuring STANCE PUNKS, YONA YONA WEEKENDERS, FOUR GET ME A NOTS, ガガガSP, HOT SQUALL, Northern19, and other major names in the Japanese rock scene.
