(Fake) INTERVIEW | Forests
We’re going to pretend we’re interviewing the amazing dudes in Singaporean emo/math rock band Forests just because we feel like it and have way too much time on our hands.
Let me repeat that just to make sure we’re clear:
We’re PRETENDING to interview the band.
Since we’re pretending to interview them, we think an interview with these hilarious dudes would probably go something like this. But we could be wrong. Definitely wrong.
UA: Yo what’s up!
FORESTS: Sup
UA: Stoked for you guys!
FORESTS: Yeah – I just had Murtabak on Haji Lane and it’s definitely good.
UA: Which one?
FORESTS: Chicken Murtabak.
UA: No I mean which store?
FORESTS: Do you know Singapore well?
UA: No.
FORESTS: The one around the corner.
UA: Oh! I’ve been there. We have corners here in Hong Kong too.
FORESTS: It’s not the same. Ours are more right-angle corners.
UA: Oh. Ours are way more obtuse.
FORESTS: It’s because you have no land in Hong Kong.
UA: I’m pretty sure we have more land than Singapore man.
FORESTS: Lies. Have you been to Marina Sands? We make our land.
UA: Respect. Actually, have you been to our airport?
FORESTS: Yes, we played in Hong Kong. Remember? You were there.
UA: Yes.
FORESTS: We didn’t swim there so yes we’ve been to your airport.
UA: That airport is also made on land we created.
FORESTS: It’s not a competition
UA: True. But we’re better.
FORESTS: You sure?
UA: Definitely NOT sure.
FORESTS: Killer interview
UA: Thanks.
FORESTS: Peace
UA: 再見
Go check out their new album – it RULES. Once vinyl editions are up we’ll be all over it to complete our collection!
