Insane Dark Hardcore Band GIBRALTAR Release Phenomenal Live Studio Session Video

The power in “dark” hardcore to us is the straight-up abrasiveness in the sound. The music holds nothing back in the sheer aggressiveness in the guitar tone (often drenched in something like the HM-2 OR even running through several distortion pedals into a high gain amp) and drum beats that run from blast beats to D-beats to almost sludge-pace beats…all of it under a vocalist whose screams are SO hard that it literally sounds like the throat is getting shredded to pieces.

Enter – Philippines’ GIBRALTAR.

The band has just dropped a 4 track live-in-the-studio session complete with video but, more importantly, amazing audio recording which captures the energy of the band. Apparently, the recording also includes 2 brand new tracks that will be off their upcoming full-length to be released next year.

  • Live tracks are recorded by Demonyong Itim who played for Sauna (Batangas) as the new addition to their unit.
  • Video recordings are with help from two of Pilipinas Hardcore’s prominent photographer/videographer – Stupor Studio and Jhona Labe of Still Ill Records.
  • Edited by Ralph Espiritu and Directed by Joe Barbacena of Shockpoint.
