“To all of our loyal fans and friends,
Having gone through good process and awareness from the member of the band, we hereby announce that our drummer, Abah Andris, is no longer with Burgerkill.
For more than sixteen years, Abah Andris has proved to us as well as all of Burgerkill fans his undoubtful love for the band through remarkable masterpiece and achievement. For us, Abah Andris has and will always be an important part who adorns the band until this very day. We respectfully understand his decision and we hope that he will not change one of the good things that we like the most, an inspiring friend.
At this very moment, we agree to continue carrying out the making of Burgerkills new album planned to recording at the end of the year. It is an album portraying our love to the music we play for more than two decades as well as a dedication to those who give contributions to the band. We hope that all Burgerkills plans could run well in the future and continue making good music for all of us.
Thank you for awesome support and see you in the next phase of Burgerkill.”
Goddamn…16 years is a lot of time to put into a band and then call it quits. However, as with everything that comes as a shock like this but based on a deeply personal decision, all you can do is respect a person’s wishes and support the band so that they can soldier on.
Good luck to both Burgerkill and Abah as they both part ways so beautifully and start their next chapter in their respective lives.
