It’s 2020 and the world of resistance continues to be in full swing throughout the world. We all continue to fight against idiotic, inept governments, barbaric and out of touch police forces, and the hordes of blind worshipers of both tyrannical regimes and their military style police. Without their uniforms and weapons, they would be nothing and PALE in comparison to the will of the people.
We all must keep fighting.
THIS IS WHAT FUCKING HARDCORE HAS BEEN ABOUT SINCE DAY ONE.
We challenge you to find lyrics like this:
“Give in to the government”
“The police force is great”
“The government knows everything”
“Silence is great”
Instead ALL of you, even those of you who live in totalitarian regimes, sing lyrics like:
“Burn it down”
“Never back down”
“Til the end”
“ACAB”
“Never surrender, never fear”
“This spirit will never break”
“Destroy and rebuild”
“Rise above”
“Where’s your anger, where’s your fucking rage?”
What the FUCK do you think these lyrics are about!??!?!
Anyway…
All of these thoughts came rushing to mind when we watched Indonesian hardcore band Kilometer on their brand new lyric video which is full of protest/resistance footage from around the world. Video footage of humans fighting hand to hand against the power and strength and might of the police force – who are holding weapons, fully padded body protection, riot shields, while the people just have the clothes on their backs.
Check out the track below and get stoked that there are actually bands out there in the world who are still singing and screaming about change and trying to empower those who are out there day to day against all odds fighting against the machines of corrupt garbage governmental powers.
