Indonesian post-hardcore band Ghaust has made the following announcement:
Ghaust has reached an end. 11 years of existence and now GHAUST IS OVER. I have made a decision that Ghaust has come to an end after what happen to Edo Pedrico. its impossible for me to carry out this band without him. At this point, however, i feel it’s best to move forward..
We will have one last release, a compilation CD of Ghaust tracks(from vinyl split/singles/remix) and tshirts. Grieve Records will release this CD on August 2016. all profit from the CD and tshirts will goes to Edo’s family. More updates will follow soon.
For the last word, we feel really extremely fortunate to have spent such a deeply memorable and amazing part of our lives. And i personally want to say thank you for the people that have supported us over the years. It is a lengthy list that would include those who put out our CD & records, Who help us on Tour, many bands with whom we shared the stage, all of our family, girlfriends, friends and companions who supported us in our individual lives and thus made it possible for us to continue on in the band, and most importantly those who truly listened to our music whether in recorded form or by coming to out to our shows (or both). It is quite true that we would never have done what we have without those people. Maybe our words can never fully express what we feel, but we hope that our music and the efforts made to bring it into being can serve as a more proper expression of gratitude for this life and for everyone in it. THANK YOU!!!
Uri A. Putra / GHAUST
