Hyderabad-based Thrash/Death Metal Band GODLESS is back to unleash its fury with a new single! The song, called “Amorphous Mass”, is accompanied by an official video and available on the main digital streaming platforms.
“Amorphous Mass” is a daring exploration of GODLESS’ distinctive sound, pushing the boundaries of old-school death metal while retaining the raw intensity of extreme metal and the relentless energy of thrash. Dark and intense, the song reflects the themes of experimentation, altered states of consciousness, and the blurring of boundaries between the physical and psychological realms. It evokes a sense of unease and foreboding, while also delivering a visceral and exhilarating musical experience.
The band stated about the new song: “Amorphous Mass dives headfirst into the realms of experimentation with devolution. It’s inspired by the psychedelic sci-fi horror film ‘Altered States,’ and delves into themes of altered consciousness, genetic memories, and the terrifying consequences of tampering with the fabric of existence.”
With influences ranging from Slayer to Morbid Angel, the Indian quartet delivers a relentless onslaught of raw intensity and unbridled ferocity, leaving listeners breathless and exhilarated. As the band prepares to embark on a thrilling tour across India, UAE and Europe, “Amorphous Mass” stands as a testament to their unwavering dedication to pushing the boundaries of extreme metal.
“Amorphous Mass” was recorded by Abbas Razvi. Mixing and mastering by Lawrence Mackrory at Rorysound Studios (Bloodbath, Vomitory, etc.). Cover Art by Anoop Bhat. Photo by Anshu Bhingradia. Band logo by Christopher Szpajdel (Lord of the Logos).
