“OFFICIAL STATEMENT ABOUT HIATUS
Hey friends, we’re taking an official break from the band, or hiatus or whatever you want to call it. There’s no particular reason, it’s just tough for us to function with Vrishank being in the states, amongst other things happening in our personal lives. Above everything, it is taxing for all of us to be this invested in the band and not be able to act on it. And thus as frustrating as it is, we’re announcing a hiatus and are taking a break from DBF.
The show we are playing on Friday will be our last show for a LONG LONG TIME and that’s why, it would mean the world to us for everyone to come down and celebrate the DIY culture that helped us be a band in the first place.
This isn’t the last you’ve heard from us. We are currently working on some new songs before Vrishank leaves and are probably releasing those in the form of an EP and a split. And even more, all the members are involved in other projects –
Tabish is currently working on the DIRGE full length while Kamu just finished recording bass on the False Flag EP. We will be sure to post all the beautiful music we are working on here.
THIS IS DEFINITELY NOT THE END but we still want to thank all the great people who’ve helped us out these last 4 years. See y’all soon!”
We’ve done a lot of work with these guys promoting their band and their releases. Check out an interview we did with them a few weeks back promoting their recent split record with Shepherd: https://uniteasia.org/interviewpremiere-indias-death-fungi-shepherd-speak-us-new-split-record/
