Hardcore Punk Band MAIO Release 2 Track Taster for New Full Length [Indonesia]

MAIO is a hardcore punk band from North Bandung and they’re back with a new promo for their upcoming full length to be released in 2026. Still under the banner of Disaster Records, they now present a new manifestation entitled B4DTR1PP & Black Cinderella. This material stands as a pivotal marker in MAIO’s shift toward a more aggressive and depressive sonic direction.

“In this maxi-single, we wanted to highlight our darker side and the face of the upcoming album as a whole. From power-chord-driven structures to guitars that shriek like a dying horse, the music is far less complicated than the previous album, paired with lyrics that look inward instead of outward: honest yet depressive, like stripping yourself bare,” said Kikim.

“In one of the tracks, we brought in a close comrade through a collaboration with Dannvs of Ancient, an elder we both revere, who contributed his signature vocals and intensity on the track Black Cinderella. The moment he laid down the very first vocal line, I was frozen in place, knowing instantly that we had chosen the right collaborator,” added Aziz.

This maxi-single serves as a strategic bridge to fill the void leading up to the release of their full-length album, set to arrive in early 2026.
