Hardcore Band FLUNCKY Release 6 Track EP [Malaysia]

FLUNCKY, a five-piece hardcore band from Seremban, Malaysia, has released their latest EP titled UNEVEN SURFACE, a six-track offering that continues to define their place in the modern hardcore scene.

Formed by a group of youths shaped by shared experiences of struggle and restless living, Fluncky blends the intensity of contemporary hardcore with the raw foundation of classic hardcore punk. The result is a fast, aggressive, and unfiltered sound driven by frustration and resistance toward the routines of everyday life.

UNEVEN SURFACE reflects the band’s refusal to separate music from reality. Across six tracks, the release explores themes such as war, genocide, and social injustice, while also confronting personal battles, mental health, and the weight of survival. It captures both global unrest and internal conflict, presenting a voice that resonates with a generation navigating uncertainty and pressure.

Operating firmly within the DIY scene, Fluncky continues to prioritize authenticity over polish. Built on values of youth energy, loyalty, resistance, and community, the band delivers performances and recordings that stay true to the core of hardcore punk: loud, immediate, and uncompromising.
