
This band AK47 fucking RULES. So when they asked if we could get involved with promoting their upcoming 20 year hometown showdown – we were like FUCK. YES.
Here’s more info on what’s going down on August 19:
“This year will mark the 20th anniversary of Semarang based grindcore band AK//47. Semarang On Fire and S-45 Music Club are working together to bring the Semarang underground scene a special celebration for this three piece grindcore unit. “AK//47: 20 YEARS ON THE GRIND” will take place at Gosty Lounge, Monday, Aug 19th 2019.
There will be special performances from local bands, Aimless and Tiderays. Two weeks ago, AK//47 and Tiderays just completed a 11-day, 9-show tour of Southeast Asia. Visiting 5 countries (Malaysia, Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam and Singapore), this event marks their return to Indonesia and will be the closing show of this tour.

AK//47 will also collaborate with Rudy Murdock of Radical Corps (Semarang Thrash Metal Legend) and Debronzes (Semarang Death Metal Legend). They will be join this show and play tracks from AK//47’s previous album, ‘Verba Volant, Scripta Manent’.
It doesn’t stop there.
This show will bring back AK//47’s classic line up from 1999 including Bhaskoro (former guitarist), Manusia Kera (former vocalist and bassists) and Garna as a drummer on their reunion set. They will playing songs from the early years of AK//47. Also, there will be a US and Southeast Asia Tour video documentary screening during the show.”
