
Indonesian grindcore band EXTREME DECAY are celebrating their 27th year anniversary with a host of releases but we gotta back this sick split they did with Malaysian grindcore band TOOLS OF THE TRADE. The release is out on HUSTED RECORDS and BOLLOCKS RECORDS.
Extreme Decay is a grindcore band formed in Malang, East Java, Indonesia on 1998. Extreme Decay has released a number of albums through various record labels on Indonesia and abroad, including a handful of split releases and compilation appearances on various formats on their more than twenty year history. Currently, Extreme Decay consists of Ruli (guitar/vocal), Anizar (bass/vocal), Eko (drums) and Ravi (guitar/vocal).
Tools Of The Trade is a grindcore band formed in Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia) on 2004. The band has extensive history of releases on various formats of cassette, CD, and vinyl released by Malaysian and international record labels. Currently Tools Of The Trade consists of Jerry (drums), Emi (vocal) and Tiong (guitar).
On this split 7” EP, both Extreme Decay and Tools Of The Trade contribute four songs by each band. Extreme Decay puts out three new songs titled “Konfrontasi Asimetris”, “Death Blossoms”, and “Life At End Times”, with one additional song titled “Brother” a cover of classic song by Antiphaty (Malang’s punk rock). While Tools Of The Trade puts out four new songs titled “Bebas”, “Bangsa”, “Tidak”, and “Tamat”.
The cover artwork was made by Evan (Dystopian Destroy), while the layout was finalized by Tiong from Tools Of The Trade.
