Frequency Asia posts Artefracture’s mix tape of classic Hong Kong cuts

Frequency Asia, online music portal that works as as podcast, label and radio station, has invited Arthur Uquiola owner of Hong Kong based record label Artefracture to curate a playlist of his favorite songs from Hong Kong.

Here is Arthur’s explanation of what made the cut in his own words:

“I, Arthur Urquiola of the Hong Kong-based independent record label Artefracture, present 24 of my favourite songs to come from Hong Kong’s underground music scene during the period from my early teens to my mid-20s. Some of the biggest international names in music have been passing through the region more frequently in recent years and it would be great if this is a trend that carries on and continues to grow. But what I hope you take from this selection is that our local scenes have, and continue to have, a rich depth of homegrown talent that operates on a much more grassroots level, but is nonetheless worth seeking out and worth supporting.”
