Filipino Metal and Hip Hop Team Up On Raging New Single ‘Magna’ [INTOLERANT/MOROBEATS]

YOOOOOO…this shit is FIRE. Check out Filipino metal band INTOLERANT team up with a HUGE collective of hip hop artists who go under the moniker MOROBEATS on this rage-fueled new single ‘Magna’.

The Intolerant homies sent in the following info about:

“MOROBEATS is a hip hop collective led by producer DJ MEDMESSIAH, who has been championing moro culture and Hip-Hop from the Southern Provinces of the PH. He is internationally renowned for his music and guerrilla-style music videos, and has opened for international stand-up comic Jo Koy and, through the years, has collaborated with international names in the hip-hop game.

“It is a politically charged song that doesn’t hold back – basically a big FUCK YOU to corrupt government officials…”

The track, “Magna”, is short for the tagalog term “magnanakaw.” Morobeats released the original hip-hop version last quarter of 2025. It is a politically charged song that doesn’t hold back – basically a big FUCK YOU to corrupt government officials, a sentiment that was shared by the Filipino people last year after scandals of government officials stealing public funds were brought to everyone’s attention. Recently, Morobeats collaborated with Intolerant to release a version in classic Hip-Hop meets Metal fashion – not nu metal, but a true colliding of worlds and musical styles. It is also the first studio effort from INTOLERANT members – drummer Pepo Gohu, bassist Mic Gallegos and guitarist Joey Dizon – in more than a decade.

Shot purely guerilla style in the streets of Raon in Quiapo, Manila. No permits. The video shoot essentially stopped traffic, and bystanders and regular citizens stopped to watch and check out the commotion. The video features a blistering performance from Intolerant and DJ Wzard, and Morobeats artists, namely Dizzy D., Naus, Buencamino, Prophecee, Malik, Teemo, Tofu, Miss A and, of course, Medmessiah.

The video is directed by DJ Medmessiah, alongside Yans Torres, Carl Miranda and photographer Patrick Briones.
