Iranian extreme metal act REDVI release new single “Xenocide”
Iranian extreme metal project REDVI have released their latest single, “Xenocide,” continuing their exploration of bleak atmospheres, crushing rhythms, and confrontational themes rooted in survival, dominance, and collapse.
Blending deathcore aggression with thall-inspired grooves, “Xenocide” presents a cold and observational look at destruction. Rather than framing violence as triumph or regret, the track examines the aftermath — a world stripped of voice, memory, and meaning. Lines such as “No voice remains to tell / The wreckage of this hell” underline the song’s focus on silence and erasure, where devastation becomes permanent and unspoken.
Musically, the single leans on downtuned guitars, rigid rhythmic patterns, and suffocating space, creating a hostile and mechanical soundscape. The vocals shift between controlled intensity and explosive delivery, reinforcing the sense of inevitable collapse that runs through the track. A stark breakdown section emphasises the idea that what is destroyed never truly disappears, but instead leaves scars that endure.
“Xenocide” follows a series of releases that have established REDVI’s identity within the underground, touching on cosmic horror, inner conflict, and humanity’s fixation on becoming the apex force in a hostile universe. This new single feels like a continuation of that trajectory, pushing the band’s themes further into the consequences of power and annihilation.
