We have massive news for all y’all today…about the middle of 2024, phenomenal drummer of grindcore legends WORMROT, Vijesh, announced that he was leaving the band. Though that was quite shocking news, we literally just saw them perform here in London the week prior, we knew that a stellar drummer like Vijesh would only be moving forward.
Today – we have that piece of news to share with y’all.
Vijesh and fellow bandmate Tiong of Malaysian grindcore band TOOLS OF THE TRADE, have resurrected their intense grindcore band CODE ERROR. The band’s debut EP is streaming below, but what’s really insane is that the resurrected band already has enough material for a brand new full length. You can hear one of those tracks in the live video streaming below.
“The EP we did in 2017 was a huge release for us. We recorded that EP all in 1 day simply because everything felt so natural with this lineup. Ever since I left Wormrot in July last year, and after some time off, I felt it would be the perfect time to release another creation as a comeback. It felt only right to our supporters to bring this band back and end its hiatus. We look forward to this next release and to future shows and tours to come!” stated Vijesh as he reflects on this gigantic piece of news.
Guitarist Tiong added, “We have the same mindset on composition and the chemistry feels natural hence we decided to continue where we left off from last 8 years ago. We are working on a new album and personally its a chance for me to step up from my own comfort zone.”
LET’S FUCKING GO!!!
Congrats to the duo and welcome back! Vijesh has stated that eventually a vocalist will be added and it could be just a touring member.
