DEMO ALERT: When Demos Are So Good They Should Just Be EP’s – Nepal’s SIX COFFINS

Our friends in Nepalese hardcore band SIX COFFINS were already guaranteed to be sick…with the pedigree of the members who make up this band. And today, we finally get to hear their first official release – a 4 track demo entitled ‘The First Nail’.

What makes up this 4 track release is heavy metallic hardcore ala All Out Water, Kickback, etc…the band could be straight out of the 90s but updated with insane production. The demo release is so good that it’s already been picked up by German label BOUND BY MODERN AGE RECORDS. Shit goes HARD – go listen to it below.

The label stated, “The first demo from this Kathmandu Valley Hardcore outfit comes with some undeniable metallic 90s vibe. Oldschool Metalcore meets modern mosh sound. Fresh, but also familiar. FFO: Earth Crisis, All Out War, Kickback, etc.”

The band were kind enough to send us some background about the tracks themselves. “Lyrically, Six Coffins is a tale of justice and revenge; Tallo Bhanda Tallo deals with the reckoning of past lies; Naya Pidhi Ko Tauke is about the circular nature of the scene, where a new generation replaces the old, but this time without the burden of ego; and Voice of Fraud is about big talking promoters. The demo was recorded live at Audio Ecstasy Studios by Ashish Shrestha, and mixed and mastered by Sushil Manandhar. The artwork is by Melo. We would like to thank Tim (Bound by Modern Age Records), Hassan (Zanjeer/Multinational Corporations), Ozan (Mārān/xRISALEx), and Kathmandu Valley Hardcore.”

RESPECT.
