Dem Dudes in RUSTED Be Back. 2 New Singles To Brighten Up Our Day [Malaysia]

Was riding our bike to work when our socials unleashed the news that one of our favorites of the current Malaysian hardcore scene – RUSTED – dropped 2 new tracks.

Go read below and blast those tunes. Band fucking RIPS.

The two tracks are ‘Tormented Soul’ and ‘Fracture’ for which the band states, “They both show a subtle shift in our sound, leaning into a more thrash-oriented style. We still retain our core identity but are exploring new styles.”

And on the lyrics, “‘Tormented Soul’ delves deep into themes of internal conflict, despair, and the elusive search for freedom from one’s own demons.”

The artwork for “Tormented Soul,” is created by Syarif Shukri, @syarif_shukri on instagram. The artwork is an illustration that captures the essence of the single’s themes which is a person embroiled in a battle with himself. This visual metaphor powerfully reflects the internal conflicts and psychological struggles that permeate the lyrics of songs.
