DIARSIA is the first Hybrid Deathcore band in Vietnam established at the end of early 2020. As the name Diarsia – a moth of the Noctuidae family, controversial for its ability to adapt and constantly change – the band’s compositions always bring new and diverse colors. The “hybrid” is also their highlight, although Deathcore is the main goal they are pursuing, DIARSIA’s music is like a hybrid, influenced by many different genres and materials.
After nearly 4 years of operation, the pioneering deathcore band in the South has finally released their debut album. The members shared: “Actually, the process of completing this album is already behind schedule and may even last longer, because during the time of operation, we, in addition to financial limitations, also experienced the change of members, and other unexpected factors. Until they stabilize, the members will really focus on composing, which is also the stage when everyone feels the most understanding of each other’s “playing style”, so it’s a circuit to complete unfinished compositions.”
“ARMAGEDDON” clearly shows the dark side of society, true nature of humanity, the disasters created by humans that are gradually destroying their own homeland. That is human envy, jealousy, and selfishness. Wars, natural disasters, and famines happen continuously without end and they will never end.
The compositions in the album “ARMAGEDDON” are a mix of deathcore old-school and modern, almost each song is combined with many different materials, showing the unique nature of each member. If you like breakdown, they have breakdown; If you like groovy, they have groovy; hip-hop & EDM, they have those; If you like gentle softness, they have gentle softness; and even if you like anime idol girls singing, they also have! So, if you are a fan of heavy music in general, deathcore in particular, this album is a worthwhile experience. DIARSIA will serve your 5 senses from the lightest “scale” to the heaviest.
