Death Metal Dudes Jump Into The Hardcore Game – CHAIN FIGHT Drop New MV [Thailand]

Brand new Thai hardcore band CHAIN FIGHT , made of the who’s who of Thailand’s death metal scene including bands like SMALLPOX AROMA, SAVAGE DIETY and ECCHYMOSIS, have slowly been unveiling snippets of their upcoming debut EP. The band just dropped their track from the record entitled ‘Backstabber’.

The vocalist sent in some context about how a bunch of insanely sick death metalheads get into hardcore.

“The whole thing started with a conversation between Twish (bass) and me (Bill – vocal), who are longtime friends and share mutual fascination toward early 2000s hardcore. We’d often attend hardcore shows around Bangkok, especially ones organized by Holding On Records! After a while, we talked about starting a hardcore band together just for fun and to explore new directions, since each of us hadn’t done any true hardcore-ish projects before. Tae (guitar) and Pex (drums), who live close by us and saw the same picture of what we were going to do, later joined us. And there it is, four guys who’ve played enough heavy metal music in their lives and just want to have fun playing something new. Plus, we live around the same area, probably two kilometers from each other, so everything is smooth and easy. So far it feels like we’ve gone back to being a bunch of high school friends forming the heaviest band possible, believing we’re the coolest guys in the school!”
