Crossover Band CUT LON Release Sick Music Video Krumpin’ Into a Mosh [Vietnam]

Vietnamese crossover band CUT LON has always known how important visuals are to their art. Especially in the times that we live in now…they began, for example, in Pikachu masks…since then, they’ve dropped all of that in order to let the music (rightfully so) do all the talking. Today however, they decided to go back to furthering supporting the music with a sick music video. And with “krumping”? Confused? Read on little child. Read on.

“How does one feel at a hardcore punk show? What are all these moves in the mosh pit? Are they orchestrated, do you have to follow the right pattern? Or do you have freedom to be a dick towards others? The song “Chơi Tiếp” is our take on these questions and that’s why we did the music video in collaboration with Viet Kingdom Raw krumping crew!

Krumping is a dancing style that is rarely choreographed; it is almost entirely freestyle to a song and is mostly performed in battles or sessions rather than on a stage. Krumping is very aggressive and is danced upright to upbeat and fast-paced music, but it does not promote aggression or fighting – moves are meant to take up space and challenge other dancers to feed off and return the energy.

We really enjoyed working with Viet Kingdom Raw team and we think what they did resonates sooooo well with the lyrics of “Chơi Tiếp” and with what we think about moshing at our gigs. We hope that you will enjoy the MV as much as we did!!

Also, this is one of the last projects that was done at Arcan before it sadly announced closing down a few weeks ago. We wish Arcan to eventually reopen in a different form and at a different location and hopefully bring more great vibes and joy into the underground music community in Saigon!”
