Filipino post-hardcore band Beast Jesus unleash their take on Joy Division

Originally by Joy Division, Beast Jesus of the Philippines have reworked Shadowplay into a sprawling dirge that rises from urban grime and aspires for the celestial. “We always wanted to do a Joy Division cover,” says singer and guitarist, F. Maria. “After years of putting it off over a number of previous bands, Beast Jesus finally has its take on Shadowplay’s stark Mancunian musings.” The band released Shadowplay earlier this morning. It is currently available for free download on Beast Jesus’ Bandcamp account streaming below:
