“Legendary times! Metal, music in its original purpose – E X P R E S S I O N!

Back years ago the members of today’s Doch Chkae visited a show of Sliten6ix, at the time the only metal band in Cambodia, and got outrageously inspired so they formed their own band. 2 weeks from today Doch Chkae is playing in Germany at Wacken Open Air 2019 – the first Cambodian metal band on a European Open Air stage, how sick is that! We need more of this!!!

Our first MAP Cambodia Mekong Open Air 2019 celebrates the first music video that was produced by our music students I am the Master Chef, the Malaysia tour of Reign in Slumber, the Germany tour of Doch Chkae, and last but not least Silent Band and some exciting teenage newcomer bands!!!​​ Vartey Ganiva Band will also join us on stage!

MAP Cambodia Music is a teenage-run project and record label aimed to encourage teenagers to engage themselves in music and learn about its industry. Our plan for this project is to involve our students and delegate music-related tasks to our students, making sure that everyone has got something to do or to look forward to. By letting our students upholding certain responsibilities, this will enable them to absorb management skills, as well as, strengthen their potentials. We strongly believe that music is an ultimate pathway to abolishing stress, anxiety, and depression.”
