The Indian metal world has been putting out information into the world asking for anyone who is able to donate, to help donate money to purchase much-needed supplies to help with the COVID nightmare that has taken over the country. Please read the following and hit the links to donate what you can.

“As you may know, the COVID situation in India is getting worse by the minute, so we have decided to contribute 20% of all our merchandise sales in the month of May towards verified non-profit organizations that are fighting the pandemic in the country.
Alternatively, you could also choose to contribute directly to verified organizations (NOT the “PM CARES” Fund) such as GiveIndia, Uday Foundation, Milaap, Mazdoor Kitchen, and Feeding From Far.”

“Last year I shaved my beard for charity via a live stream on Headbanger’s Kitchen and we were able to raise some money for the people affected by COVID-19 and I matched the amount donated. Unfortunately this year the situation is far worse and extremely grim. So first up for those who were so kind to message and check in on me and the family, we are all fine and we are staying at home and staying safe. My parents have gotten their jabs and once it opens up for my age group Deepti and I will get ours. But right now the death toll is rising and the situation is dire. This time I’ve already made my donations and I’m trying to donate as much as I can to people and organizations that need it.

There’s an acute shortage of oxygen in the country. We have purchased and donated 5 oxygen concentrators to the Hemkunt Foundation. Unfortunately, that is all we could afford (USD 5,000) and they need 2338 more units. If you can, please donate.
The people you are helping are the ones that were turned down by overrun hospitals and cannot afford to pay black market prices for essentials. While most of them may have never heard of heavy metal, that does not mean they cannot be saved by it.
