From Mumbai to the Global extreme metal underground, GUTSLIT have long stood as one of Asia’s most uncompromising exports. With their new single “I, Berzerker,” the Indian deathgrind titans don’t just release a track, they reaffirm why India’s extreme scene continues to punch far above its weight on the global stage.

The track stays rooted in Gutslit’s deathgrind foundation, fast tempos, dense riffing and a strong sense of groove while reflecting a more intentional approach to songwriting. Rather than functioning as a standalone statement, I, Berzerker sits within a larger conceptual framework that will shape the upcoming album, setting its tone without revealing the full picture.

Mixed by Mendel Bij de Leij (ex-Aborted), the single prioritises clarity and weight, aligning closely with the band’s live sound and physical approach to heavy music. It also marks a new creative chapter, with fresh writing contributions feeding into the band’s evolving dynamic.
