Baybeats goes online!
A festival well known for mosh pits and a good ol’ ruckus ventures forth into a new online landscape. Baybeats Online takes shape in a bite-sized format, with intimate and stripped-down sets with a diverse range of artists. While the live festival has been postponed to 6–8 Nov, this special online edition is put together to keep spirits up.
Split into five different segments (Baybeats Unplugged, In Bed with Baybeats, Chapalang Sessions, Observation Deck and #BaybeatsThrowback) covering a range of both pre-recorded and live-streamed sessions, the festival aims to bring the indie alternative experience straight to your screens. Look out for performances with a personal touch, panel discussions and informal chats with artists/members of the Singapore music scene.
Lineup includes several bands that we’ve featured numerous times on the site such as Forests, Every Rage I Seek, Iman’s League, Tell Lie Vision, and many others. Something that we’re super looking forward is to tune in to check out a special talk that will feature three vocalists of Singapore’s heavy community (Rudra, Wormrot, Sun Eater) to take place on August 21st at 9:30pm:
“Join us as we talk to three well-known frontmen from the Singapore underground music scene in Kathir from Rudra, Arif from Wormrot and KC Meals from Sun Eater. Tune in to the livestream as they lift the curtain on different genres in the underground scene—audiences will also be able to send in questions to be answered by the trio on the spot.”
