Hardcore Metal Band ARCADIA Drop Emotional MV for ‘Fading Pages’ [Philippines]

Philippines-based hardcore metal band ARCADIA drop a new music video for the single ‘Fading Pages’.

The band sent in the following info:

“When we began planning ‘Life We Know,’ we had this constant itch to push ourselves. Our goal was to create tracks that were diverse and cohesive.

“Fading Pages” is where we finally hit the mark we’d been chasing since our EP. For a while, we felt like we’d hit a ceiling with our vocal approach, but we refused to stay there. We had to become more articulate and intentional. This was the first track where we fully committed to clean vocals in the verses, but we didn’t follow a standard “rulebook” on our necks. – Enrie

Lastly, the impact of this song bled into the later half while recording the album. Giving us the confidence to embrace growth. -Enrie

The original idea when I wrote the riff was way faster, more staccato, more aggressive. But it started to feel like we already had too many songs sitting in that same space, and I didn’t want it to sound like we were repeating ourselves. So I slowed it down and tweaked it into something we hadn’t really done before. We just wanted something fresher on the album something that wouldn’t sound like the same thing we already did. Then Enrie told me he wanted to push it even further and try something different from the rest of the record, with cleaner vocals. It gave the track a whole different identity.- Ariel

About the song:

A gentle reminder that as we grow older, everything in the past fades away, yet we still strive to cling to those vague memories.- Enrie

If you’re a parent now, you’ll easily connect to it. And if you’re a son a daughter, you will too.😊 – Ariel”

The track comes off the band’s EP released last year.
