German Powerviolence Band THE PRIM Announce Second Malaysian Tour

German powerviolence band THE PRIM have announced a second Malaysian tour.

The band was founded in 2016 by members of the vegan straight edge newschool hardcore band Barren and the heavy screamo band luciente.

They got heavily influenced by 1990’s powerviolence mixed with metallic hardcore.

After Corona, Dennis of the band deaftrap joined them, who had already toured through Malaysia, and was just overwhelmed by the people there. He had lots of contacts to book the Prim’s first DIY Malaysia Tour, and after it got announced, some other spots got in contact with them to expand it to S.E.Asia.

“… and to be honest, it was one of the best tours we’ve ever had! Every show was packed with wonderful people, enjoying themselves, dancing, singing. All the locals who took perfect care of us were amazing. The whole punk / hardcore scene was just full of life and enthusiasm. On top of that we also could share the stages with amazing bands like Dance on your Grave, GATS, Speech Odd from Thailand, Tools of the Trade, Sial, Fausse Humanite and many more.”

Of course, everyone in the Prim wanted to come back to S.E.Asia after that amazing experience. But in 2024, they first went on tour in Japan that was no less overwhelming. After reaching out in the beginning of 2025 the available days for the tour were quickly taken by all Malaysian spots, that there was no room for other locations in this year.

This time the Prim’s new shouter, Christin, will join them with her brutal voice and everyone involved is already excited to meet again, singing, dancing and just having fun together.
