Metallic Hardcore Band COLDSKIN Go Hard On Debut Album [Indonesia]

Indonesian hardcore band COLDSKIN has finally released their debut album ‘Fragments of Failure’.

The album features twelve tracks released under DISASTER RECORDS and is now available on 12” vinyl. Coldskin blends heavy soundscapes with lyrics that are both depressive and hopeful, reflecting how they navigate uncertainty while stepping confidently into the future. This becomes the only way to embrace uncertainty throughout the album.

The album is inspired by Kintsugi, a Japanese art form that means repairing broken pottery. This philosophy highlights the beauty in imperfection and embraces the reality that everything will eventually break. Instead of hiding the scars, imperfections can become the beginning of something new.

“Kintsugi uses powdered gold to transform cracks into meaningful parts of an object’s story, symbolizing both fragility and strength. That’s why we chose the title Fragments of Failure, because we believe that scars can turn into something valuable,” they said about the album.

In the making of this album, Coldskin drew influences from bands such as Knocked Loose, End, Kublai Khan TX, At The Gates, Black Breath, and Nails, combined with the vibes of Swedish chainsaw tones. The lyrics were written by Yoel Hutapea and Dennis Mandalyca, while the cover artwork was created by Stephania Shakila Cornelia and the layout was done by Ghani Noorputrawan.

The album also features several guest vocalists. On the track “Fragments of Failure”, contributions come from Unbound of Petaka, Speedkill, and Derai. The track “Disbelief” features Stephania Shakila Cornelia of Rekah, which also served as the single marking Coldskin’s debut album. Meanwhile, on “Coldrage”, guest vocals are performed by Tri Aditya Kurniawan and Fajar Putranto of Outrage.
