Hardcore Band CATATONIC, Outta India, Drop Music Video Off Upcoming EP [India]

Indian hardcore band CATATONIC have dropped the first taste of their upcoming EP entitled ‘Metanoia’. You can see the music video for the track ‘Vindicated’ below. “The underlying theme of the EP is resilience and finding a new perspective of life when faced with crisis and existential conflict. It talks about embracing change, loss, heartbreak and finding hope when there is none. Sonically, it follows the same melodic/post hardcore direction as our previous EP, Gardenia, but with more polished and refined songwriting. It also blends in some indie rock influences, taking inspiration from artists like Elliott Smith, The Cure, Interpol, Johnny Marr, etc.”

It’s great that the band are open about their direction on this EP being more on the post-hardcore side. You can hear those more Touche Amore-esque moments in the music – and we’re here for it.
