Yeah fools, it’s only the 6th day of the year and we’re already stating that this record right here by Malaysian hardcore punk band MAN DEAD SET needs to be in your AOTY contender (It came out right on the cusp so we’re including it! hahaha). This shit is no holds barred straight up in your face hardcore. Not an ounce of metal in sight. And the real good thing is that in 2025, listeners of hardcore LOVE variety. They’re the kind of hardcore heads that can rock with something punk AF along with something metal AF – it’s all good. Long live this era of hardcore.

“Salaryman is our 2nd release after 4 years consisting of 7-songs. The lyrical themes revolve around the current crisis for many people struggling across so many areas in their lives. Love life, work life, always questioning why things are so difficult for those of us common folk who are trying to get by on an honest salary while the corrupt can live luxuriously. So the songs are angst filled with some emotive parts to reflect our feelings.”

This shit is so fiery that you will be gritting your teeth listening along.
