Black Metal Act EFFLORE Drop New Album ‘Haunted Island’ [Taiwan]

Black metal band Efflore hailing from Taiwan have released their new album ‘Haunted Island (島國怪談)’.

According to the press release, “Efflore’s unique combination of earworm black metal riffs with experimental icy sound design and traditional chanting has earned them acclaim and recognition across the Taiwanese metal community. The band’s music is inspired by horror stories, social phenomena, and historical events in Taiwan. The band’s dedication to unique, thematic, and expertly-orchestrated live performances have captivated many in their horror-themed musical nightmare. The new album musically explores widely-circulated ghost stories, horror legends, and urban legends in Taiwan. In Taiwan, the dominant religion is a mixture of Chinese Taoism and Indian Buddhism, creating a unique spiritual and supernatural landscape. The cultural and spiritual development of Taiwan has given rise to many folk and urban horror legends to be discovered by listeners around the globe.
