Amazing…amazing…amazing…melodic hardcore band What a Beautiful Day has always known how to tug at those heartstrings…and on their brand new song 食神, the band has thrown out the rulebook for what is or isn’t “hardcore”. The band even stated, “With this song we didn’t care about following any of the traditions of the world of hardcore. We just wanted to write music that meant something to us”. The band used the inspiration of Chinese poet Su Shi and state that with this song they’re completing thousands of years old conversation with the man. All done through their spoken word Cantonese goodness…the best.
The new song comes off the upcoming EP to be released by the end of this month. Be fucking ready…
