It’s been exactly two months and we’re still reeling from it all. We witnessed the Blood Rain. We shed crimson tears.
For the 19th year of PULP SUMMER SLAM, we shared priceless and irreplaceable moments with all the bands that came blazing through Amoranto: Remnants, SOG, Lostthreads, SIN, Her Name In Blood, Emmure, Sikth, Thy Art Is Murder. And most especially, performing in Manila one last time, SLAYER. Not only was this SLAYER’s last show in Manila; it was also their FINAL SHOW EVER in ASIA.
PULP SUMMER SLAM XIX: The Second Coming was filled with both intensity and emotion, and we couldn’t have given SLAYER a better farewell than that. We all shared a moment in time that we will never experience again. But through the many memories burned permanently to our brains of Tom Araya, Kerry King, Gary Holt, and Paul Bostaph setting our stage on fire, SLAYER will continue to Reign. SLAYER will be remembered forever.
Thank you to the thousands of Slameros that came to add another year to the grand history of PULP SUMMER SLAM at #PSS19TheSecondComing. 19 YEARS STRONG—through the years, we’ve built an unparalleled legacy not just in the Philippines, but also in the region as Southeast Asia’s longest-running Metal festival.
We are PULP SUMMER SLAM, and ours is a tradition forged in fire and made steel by the people. There can be ONLY ONE.
We will see you all again. Judgement Day is upon us all. 05.16.2020.
