Philippines based screamo band TNG channel their love for envy in many ways then you can understand. First of all, the inspiration on the vocals is beautifully obvious – but how about the vocalist screaming in his mother language Tagalog? Now THAT’S profound…when you hear music that is this painfully personal, emotional, cathartic, you can only imagine the feelings that were put into the delivery of the vocals when it’s sung in the language that the vocalist is most comfortable in. The rest of the music of course cuts straight to the heart as well…
When we asked the vocalist Francis about this he stated:
“It immediately helps connect the truth and reality about what we really feel. More future TNG songs will continue to be written in Filipino. We want people to understand that we’re trying to connect through emotions.”
Notably, the track was produced by Ariel Lumanlan of Arcadia, Chicosci fame, and John Ranier Jabla of This Is Where I Make Music recording studio.
The band was also kind enough to provide us with an update for the rest of the year:
“We are really excited for 2019, We started the year with this new track and in February we’re going to be opening for Pianos Become The Teeth (US). In March, we’re going on tour with Irrevocable in Cebu and for the 1st half of the year we are working on our full length and hopefully have it out by August. New merch coming this January 21 2019!”
