Hardcore band Modern Day Collapse have dropped a new track to deal with loss [Philippines]. It’s hard not to get caught up in the emotions of ANY track this band releases and since the type of metallic hardcore that always tears at our heartstrings will always be bands like Shai Hulud, Misery Signals, Hopesfall…we always get beyond excited when Modern Day Collapse is about to gift us some new tunes.
The band does not fail. Ever.
With lyrics like this how could they?
“I would’ve given my own life than watch you fade as you close your eyes,
I would’ve turned back the time to see your face with a broken smile,
I would’ve done anything if you were still alive“
The band further states:
“This song goes out to our loved ones that have already passed away. It basically tells a painful goodbye to an important person in your life who has to leave you in despair as his/her time has already run out. We rarely go through such pain but once it hits us, it definitely leaves a scar which permanently lingers in our hearts. A scar that will always remind us of the wound that has caused such pain which is also attached to the memories of our loved one/s who passed away. Our lives may not be the same anymore without them but, we still have to carry on despite the loss that we’ve faced when they left us.”
