Beijing transplant to Toronto joins hardcore band Robot and releases EP.
“My name is Z and I’m originally from Beijing, China. I started going to local underground shows in Beijing around the age of 13. I learnt the word HARDCORE through a band called King Ly Chee but the first hardcore show I went to was a Beijing local band called Unregenerate Blood around 2005 when they first started. But I wasn’t super into this kind of music until I went to Canada for school. I’ve been living in Canada for years now and last year I moved to Toronto from Vancouver for a new beginning. After a few months of living in Toronto, I joined ROBOT as their bassist to replace their old bassist. We are planning to do a China tour, or maybe some other Asian countries too next year.”
