Very excited to present to y’all The Caulfield Cult‘s second single from their upcoming full length entitled Cult! The particular track that they’ve bestowed on our humble little website is the track Inadequate that features a good buddy of their’s – Pontus Carlsson of Disembarked fame.
To help with this post so all y’all don’t just take the youtube link below and run with it I did the most informative interview I’ve ever done in my life below…hahahahahaha…just kidding – it was meant to be a funny interview but I failed miserably.
Yo – you around?
Hey man.
What’s the dilly?
Huh?
I’m interviewing you right now for the premiere tomorrow night. So all your answers will appear as you type them here. What’s going on in Singapore?
Oh…same old, humidity and efficient trains
So how in love are you with this new record? I mean really – from a scale of 1 to 2.
2 being the higher number? 2.
Woah! 2! Goddamn – this must be an awesome record! So what’s up with the song that we’re premiering tonight?
It’s one of the better songs off the record. Pontus from Disembarked sings on this and a lot of kids like Disembarked so we decided to hatch this big marketing scheme to trick kids into liking our band.
Damn – that’s some honesty you’re spewing there homie. Talk about putting all your eggs in one basket (smile emoticon – isn’t that so much better then the actual emoticon? You know it is!) You really think you’ll be able to get the fickle young ones out to support The Caulfield Cult? I hear “kids” these days are quite the pain in the ass!
Luckily Pontus is actually a good friend of ours and has a phenomenal voice. I’m pretty sure we’ve fallen out of trend. I’m not even sure if kids still like Disembarked.
So is everything still on schedule for the release? I remember you guys stating that you’re working with a BUNCH of different labels. That shit sounds crazy to have to manage.
Yes, everything is on time for now, i.corrupt.records just received the vinyl test presses last week. I wish we could have put it out sooner but vinyl pressing nowadays takes forever due to its popularity and there were some complications with the labels but 31st march is final. Working with so many labels certainly has its pros and cons but we’re willing to work with anyone who wants to work with us and is willing to invest the time and money.
Word up. Best interview ever right? Hahahahahha…my fault – I was hanging out with my daughter when I shot these questions out to Nick and so wasn’t really paying attention.
But don’t you fret – just press play below and you WILL pay attention…the song fucking RULES.
