China is a MASSIVE country and with it comes a huge overwhelming array of bands of every genre. It’s a huge chaotic world up there and so we’re MORE than stoked that someone went out of their way to put together a 20 band mixtape for our listening pleasure. You got everything from emo/post punk to hip hop to electronic music. The only thing that strangely seems missing is heavy music. Not a single band. We can safely say with 100% certainty, China’s heavy music scene is AWESOME and the bands top notch.

Anyway – check out the mixtape below and it even comes with a free download of all 20 tracks!

Wooozy is thrilled to present The Sound of Young China 2015 Mixtape. From sunny Guangzhou and cyberpunk Chongqing to the frigid northeast grasslands beyond Beijing. From shoegaze to “riotweird”. This is the sound of China’s young and restless.

This is the second annual mixtape in this series (you can find our 2014 version here). As always, it goes out to you, the worldwide independent music community. Here, we present our pick of the most promising Chinese independent artists, artists who’ve probably flown under your radar, with the aim of showcasing the freshest sounds that collectively represent the creative force of China today.
