This has been an insane year in terms of very important people passing away…a few days ago we mentioned an incredibly affectionate, friendly and lovable friend from Thailand’s extreme music community who passed away, and then this morning we find out that this lovely person in the photo above, Qhai, also passed away after fighting cancer for many years. He is known throughout Malaysia has a gifted and talented graphic artist and is a prominent figure of the Johor Bahru hardcore scene. I know him from my many conversations with Bigmouth Booking – an agency that has been booking TONS of tours throughout Malaysia these couple of years.
My condolences to his family and friends…Asian hardcore, and the world, lost another great person this week…
Well wishes have been pouring in from all over Malaysia, Indonesia and the world..he was a well loved individual.
Feroz Omar – the man behind The Wall had this to say:
“I don’t know what to say, really. He’s been one of the biggest inspirations for his courage to fight cancer these past few years, courage that not everyone has. Death will come to us no matter what but the struggle is a precious lesson.
He will be remembered.”
Jai of Overthrown and Reconstrux Bookings had this to say;
“Qhai is actually a very talented graphic designer. He designed most all of Reconstrux show posters during the period 2011-2012. He also designed Overthrown’s As It Is album cover. We know him as ‘Q Graphixx’ as he never actually admitted to being the founder of Bigmouth Booking.”
REST IN POWER.
