11 Years In, Singaporean Pop Punk Band IMAN’S LEAGUE Announce First Ever Euro Tour

After nearly 17 years of making music, releasing seven studio albums, and touring extensively across Japan, Korea, Southeast Asia & Australia, Singaporean pop punk band IMAN’S LEAGUE is finally heading to Europe.

The European tour has been in the works for four years—originally scheduled for 2020 but postponed due to the pandemic. With limited contacts, the band began replanning the tour in 2023, and their persistence has paid off. They’ve secured 10 shows across the Netherlands, France, Belgium, and Germany. This marks the band’s first-ever European tour—a major milestone and a dream long in the making. Organising it was no easy feat. With minimal financial backing and few connections, the odds were tough. But thanks to the power of social media and the generosity of friends and promoters who believed in them, Iman’s League now has the opportunity to bring their sound to new audiences across Europe.

Booking shows has been an incredibly challenging process. For the past two years, we’ve been constantly sending and checking messages and emails—it’s felt never-ending. We’ve reached out to booking agents, bands, festival organisers, and venues, sending over 200 emails and messages. Out of all those, we received fewer than 10 replies. As a band still establishing ourselves in the European punk rock scene, we understand this is part of the journey. However, it hasn’t been easy. Financially, it’s taken a toll on us. Our grant applications to the local arts council were rejected, so we had to organise fundraising shows, release an exclusive line of merchandise, and cover around 70% of the tour costs out of our own pockets. It might seem like a risk, but touring Europe—and getting out of Asia—has been a dream of ours for the past 17 years. We’re ready to give it everything we’ve got.

The band will kick off their tour on June 10th with three shows in the Netherlands, followed by three shows in France, one in Belgium, and three in Germany. Due to financial constraints, the release of their upcoming 8th studio album—originally planned to coincide with the tour—has been postponed to August. “We’ve spent the last two years working hard to secure funding while completing the album,” the band shared. “Unfortunately, due to limited resources, we’ve had to delay the release until after the European tour. We hope this move will open more doors for us not just in Europe, but also beyond Asia.”
