Yesterday We Gave You Indonesian Darkwave – Camlann – Today, Malaysian Act Quarter Life

It’s so interesting how life works…as you get older the more open-minded one becomes to forms of music that in your youth you made sure to stay away from with a ten-foot pole. We’d have to say that darkwave is one of those genres that didn’t tickle our fancy way back when, but goddamn – we fucking love it now. It’s probably why we get SUPER excited when something comes across our radar…here’s actually a link to all the different ones that we’ve put up if you’re interested. Click HERE.

Yesterday we dropped a debut full length by a bunch of Indonesian teenagers Camlann, and today our dude Mashimierul – the one-man musical prodigy – has unleashed a brand new EP under his darkwave/post-punk moniker Quarter Life.

“Quarter Life is back again with their second EP entitled ‘Cult’s Guide Book’ containing 6 songs for fans of Human Tetris, The Cure, Motorama, etc. This EP is said to be darker and much gloomier musically and lyrically compared to previous releases. The EP is being released on cassette format by Deleted Records. Quarter Life also has a music video up – it’s streaming further below.

(Mashimierul has also uploaded Quarter Life on his label Soundmaker.Inc.‘s bandcamp which is also where you can find the complete collection of ALL his musical endeavors. A frickin’ goldmine of music…)
