Thai hardcore scene comes together to pay homage to NYHC

Thai Hardcore Show

September 5, 2015 is going to go down well in Asian hardcore history because the Thai hardcore scene is coming together under the theme of paying respect to NYHC (and bands from other scenes as well such as Minor Threat, Suicidal Tendencies, etc). Each band taking part will cover a particular NYHC band and do a set of their songs…I want to see License to Kill covering Sick of it All! That would be SICK! License to Kill is SUCH a great Thai hardcore band…

Pretty sick idea especially for a scene that is still trying hard to spread the word of hardcore…I can think of a million scenes around here in Asia that could do the same thing, maybe not all just focusing around NYHC bands, but doing something like this to help people in their towns, cities, countries get a better idea of what the early days of hardcore sounded like…and by doing that showing how hardcore does a great job respecting and appreciating those who came before them.

Check out the bands taking part in the flyer and the bands that they’re covering…SICK…such a cool idea – and what a great way to bring the scene back together…MORE POWER TO OUR BROTHERS IN THE THAI HARDCORE SCENE!
