Screamo Band Naedr Announce Details of Upcoming Split Release [Singapore]

After releasing a widely acclaimed debut full-length album in 2020 (streaming below) and a reissue in 2021 by Dog Knights Productions & Left Hand Label (UK/EU), Singaporean screamo/emoviolence band Naedr returns in 2022 with a split EP with Crowning, a screamo band from Chicago.

The split EP is titled “Rayau” which translates to “to roam or meander” in Malay and is dated to release on 30th May 2022 digitally and on vinyl. The vinyl will be released by Zegema Beach Records (US/CAN) and Left Hand Label (UK/EU) and will be available on 30th May 2022.

Bands and labels will be revealing photos of the vinyl and track teasers in the weeks leading up to 30th May 2022. Stereogum will be doing a feature on the release and exclusively streaming the single from each band on 16th May 2022.

Some words by the band regarding the release:

“We were affected by the passing of a close friend of the band’s- so we decided to write a small set of songs in memory of him. The lyrics were reflections on how it felt like searching for something that wasn’t there, and the word ‘Rayau’ felt like it summed up that feeling very well”
