Scottish pop-punk/pop-rock act Altered Sky announce Asian tour

Scottish pop-punk/pop-rock act Altered Sky announce their very first South East Asia Tour. The five-week tour will kick-off in September taking in five different countries.

Altered Sky who are based in Glasgow, are off first to the Philippines arranged by BCHC Tour Bookings then Thailand, Cambodia, Hong Kong, China and Japan.

Their show in the Philippines will include school shows for the students that they usually do in Uk and Europe they call it as “Edu-Tour” they perform in schools for free.

The Altered Sky ‘Edu-tour’ is a unique hybrid of an acoustic or full rock performance that can be combined with a careers-
oriented seminar about the music industry that focuses on a student’s potential role as a professional musician. In the face of music program cuts across the UK, the ‘Edu-tour’ program is our way of fighting back with an unconventional and innovative workshop.

The hour or so presentation is designed to guide students while teaching them that a non-traditional career of any kind can be achieved by defining realistic expectations. Topics such as song writing and the pros and cons of treating music as a hobby or as a career are explored, as well as how modern-day musicians spend and make money. The challenges facing musicians in schools are numerous; this seminar and rock show can be another tool for teachers and administrators.

If you’re a fan of Paramore, Neck Deep, New Found Glory, Modern Baseball and Blink 182 you should check this band out!
