Punk Rock Bangkok Release Interview With Thailand’s First Hardcore/Punk Promoters

Punk Rock Bangkok have been running a cool series of interviews on the site called Behind The Scene looking at the history of hardcore in Thailand. They started with a well-known promoter named Yos the dude behind bringing bands such as Himsa, Agnostic Front, Madball, Sick of it All, as well as bigger bands outside the genre of hardcore. Most recently Yos has been publishing an amazing magazine called BLAST. Read the full interview of Yos HERE.

Last night Punk Rock Bangkok dropped another really cool interview with another good friend of ours, Chris Luppi. Our own history with Chris goes all the way back to around 1999 when just like himself, we started a bilingual zine in Hong Kong called Start From Scratch whose mission was EXACTLY the same as the bilingual zine that Chris started while in Bangkok called Arise.

Check out the intro from the peeps behind Punk Rock Bangkok below, and then make SURE to read the full interview:

“The story of Chris Luppi! One of the first promoters of hardcore/punk in Thailand and one of the first foreigners to share their western experience with the local scene and give it a bit of a nudge in the right direction.”
