PREMIERE: Madball Inspired Hardcore From India – Check Out RAID On New Single

Indian crossover act R.A.I.D. (Rueban And the Imperium Division) are gearing up for the release of their second full length album after releasing their debut album The Strong Survive last year:

Today, we are premiering a single from their upcoming release, ‘Outrage’. The track further continues down their heavy New York Hardcore influence – that infamous Madball bounce.

“The song ‘Outrage’ is about breaking free from the norms and pressures created by society/the people around us.” said frontman Rueben Issac. “A lot of poisonous trends have been created that affect a good way of life. To overcome these hurdles, the only way out is to have an unbreakable state of mind. We are the captain of our fate, the master of our soul, the boss of our dreams and the king of our goals. It is up to us to negate the poison around us and create our own legacy.”

‘Outrage’ is being released as a Digital 45 along with their previous single “Unbreakable”.  More details about the currently untitled album will be released in the coming days via Rottweiler Records.

On a personal note, it’s always awesome to see places that are more known for metal to start having energy/interest for other types of genres as well. It always seems that some of the most mature scenes and communities around the world, are the ones that have entire scenes for all the subgenres of underground heavy music. India is most definitely known for their insanely talented metal acts (Godless, Gutslit, Demonstealer, Bloodywood, Kryptos, Amorphis, etc). But the world of hardcore is relegated to just a few (Death By Fungi, False Flag).

More power to any band anywhere in the world who may be in a situation where the local community really only understands one type of music, yet chooses to play/create/perform a whole different type of music.
