Post Punk/Noise Duo Kvyle Launch Debut Single/Music Video [Hong Kong]

“abitoflove”is the debut single by Hong Kong post-punk/noise duo Kvyle. The dark, noisy post-punk track utilizes analog modular synths, extensive vocal and drums processing in combination with huge, distorted bass, giving the track a hectic, chaotic, and claustrophobic soundscape. The track is part-post-punk, part-industrial thanks to co-producer Zubin Isaac’s involvement within the track.

The release is accompanied by a music video directed and edited by Isaac, featuring footage mashed through analog video hardware run through a CRT TV.

Hailing from Hong Kong, the territories’ only post-punk/noise duo KVYLE is unapologetically brash and brazen. Originally a solo lockdown project, KVYLE was the product of singer/bassist Elly’s recreation of the grit and discord of their metropolis in a minimized production and songwriting style, highlighting the duality between bass guitar and the rhythm section, headed by Elly (bass/vocals, formerly of Strange Lives) and Underdog (drums/sampling, formerly of David Boring and Die!ChiwawaDie!) respectively.

The track will be featured on the band’s upcoming debut EP ‘ambition’ to be released on Feb 4.
